In the first half of November, 37,000 jobs were created, leaving job creation in the month on course to exceed the monthly average of 66,400.

Speaking at the general assembly of the International Co-operative Alliance in Cancun, Mexico last week, President Calderón praised co-operative organisations as “the most humane strand of the economy”, singling out their ability to reach out to female workers excluded by other parts of the economy.
