INTERNATIONAL Japan: LinkedIn now available in Japanese
13 September 2012
Online professional social networking service LinkedIn has opened a Tokyo office as it makes the site available in Japanese, becoming accessible in an Asian language for the first time, reports the Associated Press.
LinkedIn opened a regional office in Singapore in May, and currently boasts 20m users in the region.
Arvind Rajan, the company’s head of Asian operations, told Associated Press that making the site available in Chinese languages was still a way off: “China is more complicated,” he said “Our approach has always been, we’re not just going to dive in and add a language without thinking through what’s a winning strategy.”
