EWS Search, an executive search firm and a member of a global network across Europe, Canada, US and APAC under the EXS network, has appointed Mrinal Guha as partner in the firm.

Before joining EWS Search, Guha was with Indian private sector giant Reliance ADA Group as senior vice-president group HR, overseeing HR strategies, statutory compliances and business growth encompassing a full scope of HR services.

With over 30 years of experience, he previously held positions with companies like Esso Standard Refining Co of India, Hinduja Group, Johnson & Johnson India, Smithkline Beecham Pharmaceuticals, ICI India and Ciba-Geigy of India.

His appointment strengthens EWS Search’s position in the market for strategic and consultative services. According to an internal study by EWS Search, 70% of mid-sized Indian firms do not have a succession plan, which rises to 90% in the case of small firms.

Suchita Dutta, VP-corporate communications, EWS Search, says: “Mr Guha brings to EWS Search a wealth of experience in the strategic, operational and administrative aspects of HR with high-growth companies. His clarity, conviction and commitment will help EWS Search in widening the scope of service for search, management consulting, and business coaching across sectors.”
