Search engine Google announced on Friday the opening of a new data centre that aims to create jobs for 30 people once completed, according to a press release from the company.

The 30 roles include computer technicians, electrical and mechanical engineers, and catering and security staff, some of which will be full time.

Google already has 2,000 Dublin-based workers, and has committed to making the new centre one of the most energy-efficient in the world.
