Interims should verbally agree liabilities connected with the Agency Worker Regulations (AWR), which come into force on 1 October, with clients and include them in the terms of engagement, according to HR interim Melanie Metcalf.

Speaking at an event last week organised by the Institute of Interim Management, Metcalf, a career interim for 13 years specialising in HR strategy & solutions, and an employment tribunal lay member and a workplace mediator, told Recruiter that interims should take advantage of their “unique selling point”.
