Integrate social media for success, says Boorman

Organisations that integrate social media into the fabric of how they operate will be the winners from the growth of social media, according to Bill Boorman.

Boorman told Recruiter: “The successful people will integrate social into the fabric of how they operate as an organisation, and recruiting will be a part of that. The companies that win are going to work this out.

“It will be those businesses that really allow and encourage their employees in their use of social and brand advocacy. By opening up that door, suddenly you are opening that whole channel of candidacy.

“We probably won’t be talking about social media in 12 months’ time. We will be talking about recruiting, and social media will just be a part of that. We don’t talk about telephone or email recruiting. We don’t run conferences on email recruiting, or on job board recruiting.”
