Indian companies about to enter UK staffing industry

Two Indian companies are on the verge of entering the UK staffing market, according to a director of Baird Capital Partners Europe.

Chris Harper told Recruiter that he was aware of two ongoing instances of interest from Indian buyers looking to buy into the staffing sector in the UK. “This would give them access to the customer base in the Western economies,” says Harper.

Harper says that both deals were at an advanced stage, and that he expected at least one to go through.

The buyers were “large Indian buying organisations” for whom the £10m to £30m price tag was insignificant, he adds. Harper says that for reasons of confidentiality, he cannot reveal the sectors in which the staffing businesses operate.
