Headhunter reports first profit

Headhunter Imprint is profitable for the first time, according to full year results released today.

The firm made a slim £383,000 gain before tax – but this is a massive improvement compared with last year, when it lost £1.2m.

This is the company's second full year of trading. Imprint has benefited from a strong reputation with blue-chip clients.

The headhunter has also expanded its operations. It now employs 48 consultants, compared with 29 at the start of last year.

Chief executive John Hunter predicted that AIM-listed Imprint was to continue hiring in 2004, which is likely to bring a further improvement in performance.
