Importance of CV accuracy_2
One in 20 people do not think it’s important to be accurate on CVs and job applications, according to research by BackgroundChecking.com.
It found that 84% of people across the UK think that being untruthful on job application forms or in CVs is commonplace. This is despite the fact that 95% of the 1,500 people questioned agree that it is important for people to be 100% accurate in the information they provide about themselves when applying for a new job or completing their CVs.
Steve Bailey, managing director of BackgroundChecking.com, says: “Many candidates and fraudsters rely on the fact that prospective employers do not check the information on, or omitted from, their CVs and applications, or discussed in their interview.
“These results show the need for people and businesses to think about checking CVs and applications for any untruths before they find out the hard way.”
