Compensation and benefits staff remain in demand, according to HR recruiters.

Hugo Tucker, director at Bullet Search, told Recruiter: “The current HR requirements are down across the board. The area of specialism holding up in the current market is comp and bens [compensation and benefits] and reward.

“This is largely due to it being a necessity - people need to be paid and rewarded appropriately but also because clients need to retain and enage employees. One way is to reward them competitively in comparison with their competition.”

John Maxted, chief executive at Digby Morgan, adds: “Comp and bens people are always in demand. There are not enough of them. The question is whether they are going to be more in demand.”
