Have your say on the REC Qualifications Review

This year the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) is undertaking a comprehensive review of our industry qualifications. We’re keen to improve our qualifications framework and content so that they better reflect the needs of the recruitment industry.

As part of this review the REC is consulting with as many stakeholders as possible to find out what they think about our current qualifications and to get their thoughts on what they would like to get from a revised set of industry qualifications. We certainly feel that high quality recruitment qualifications can contribute to efficiency and productivity whilst raising standards and professionalism in our industry.

Our consultation with REC and IRP [Institute of Recruitment Professionals] members is extensive, but I am really keen that we throw open our consultation to as broad a reach of those working within the recruitment industry as possible. I have written an open letter to Recruiter (below) and would be grateful if you could feature this within your letters page to encourage as many recruiters as possible to contribute to the qualifications review.

If you or your colleagues would like any further information about the REC qualifications review, please do not hesitate to let me know.
John Cunningham, head of qualifications, REC
