Greythorn chief executive Graham Palfery-Smith has told Recruiter that he is planning more acquisitions to follow the purchase of legal specialist Laurence Simons International (LSI).

Palfery-Smith said that he wants to add three more names to the Greythorn stable before the end of the year, with the next deal hoping to be concluded by the end of July.

Palfery-Smith claimed: "There's two ways we can grow — either by looking geographically or by brand. We already have a strong presence in certain markets, so that suggests we are looking outside the markets we are already in."

Palfery-Smith would only confirm that the three companies he hoped to acquire were based in continental Europe and the US, and operated in "specialist" markets.

The next step, he told Recruiter, was to expand the Laurence Simons office network. The brand already has a presence in the UK, Ireland, Australia, Hong Kong, Dubai, Germany, Italy, France, the Netherlands and Belgium.

"Laurence Simons has a very strong team of in-house counsels, meaning counsels that work for companies."

LSI is Greythorn group's fourth acquisition, following Greythorn IT, WH Recruitment and Marks Sattin, both finance specialists.
