The government could offer more support to UK business to build HR talent according to Tracy Burrell, HR manager at domestic equipment cover provider Domestic & General, Nottingham.

Burrell told Recruiter: “The range of courses available to HR professionals are limited. Very often employees have to undertake training on a day release from employment or part release.

“This means that it is often up to employers to fund the appropriate training. It would be beneficial to the industry if the government recognised that the CIPD-accredited route is very costly, and potentially offer support or alternatives.”
