Gotorecruitment relaunch a hit with directory search

Ajobcy, the online one-stop shop which streamlines dealings between recruitment agencies and clients (Recruiter, 23 July 2008), hasrelaunched as Gotorecruitment.co.uk.

Founder Stefan Kyriakides said the new name better reflects the site’s capabilities and told Recruiter that traffic had doubled since the name change. Kyriakides has also worked hard on search engine optimisation of the site and the recruitment agency profile pages contained within the directory. Currently, Gotorecruitment appears top of the Yahoo organic listings when you key in the words ‘recruitment agencies’.

New features include a management reporting system and a jobseeker section. As before agencies can subscribe to one of 34 divisions
available and clients will then post jobs and assign them to one of these divisions, stating the fee they are willing to pay an agency or requesting a quote. Gotorecruitment currently has 550 recruitment agencies registered.

Paul Gregory, director of The Locum Practice, which operates in the healthcare sector, is one of the early adoptors of the website. “As a niche agency we tend to be all hands on deck and have found the Gotorecruitment management system simple and effective,” he said.

“Agencies need to have an internet presence and it will hopefully give us that kind of exposure without the need to spend extortionate amounts
ourselves,” he said.
