A redevelopment of a former fabrication yard in Scotland could create up to 2,000 jobs, reports BBC News.
Energy company Global Energy Group has been given the go-ahead to buy the facility at Nigg in the Highlands, and will develop it as a service hub for the energy industry.
The 2,000 jobs are expected to be filled by 2015, adding to the company’s current global workforce of 3,500.
