The Gangmasters Licensing Authority (GLA) has advertised in London’s Evening Standard for regional intelligence officers. The home-based posts pay between £26,380 and £31,660 and cover the areas of Angus, Cambridge, Lincoln, London, the South-East and the Midlands. Successful applicants will be required to implement GLA strategy, policy and procedures as directed by the intelligence team manager. Recruiter contacted the GLA for comment about whether the drive reflected an increase in operations but had not heard back at time of press.
Recruitment and professional services firm the ReThink Group has appointed Andy Lord as managing director of its recruitment brands. Lord, one of the co-founders and executive directors of the group, was previously responsible of the Northern operations in the group. Lord said: “This is an exciting time to be stepping into this role. The company is four and a half years old this month and during that time we have grown and diversified at an exceptional rate. The last 12 months have been challenging on a number of fronts. While buying volumes have reduced in certain areas in the last 12 months, these customers will re-engage with us as soon as the markets return.”
