Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries should do more to raise awareness about job categories in high demand, according to a new report from regional recruiter TalentRepublic.net.

The report calls for government-sponsored information campaigns by GCC countries, which include Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Oman, to raise awareness about jobs related to project management, financial analysis, accounting and business analysis.

The report also shows that openings are also increasing in solar energy, education and healthcare.

The report urges GCC governments to introduce specialised training for the unemployed and fresh graduates to equip them with skills and techniques to become self-employed, as well as  more comprehensive microfinance initiatives to support small-scale projects or other business.
