West Midlands-based Flex Recruitment says it was “amazed” by the response it has had for its new online recruitment and response website.

Flex received more than 500 hits within 48 hours of setting up the system for people applying for positions at the new Unipart Technology Logistics distribution centre at Nuneaton.

Recruitment director Jacqueline Parkes says: “Instead of going down the traditional route of applying for a position by calling into one of our recruitment centres, we thought we would give potential recruits the opportunity to apply online.

“The stereotype of only the younger generation using computers to browse the internet to find jobs has proved to be false.”
