Firms seek Purple’s advice on social media

Employers are increasingly seeking out advice on implementing a social media strategy, according to Richard Bloom, associate director at creative staffing specialist Purple Consultancy.

Employers are increasingly seeking out advice on implementing a social media strategy, according to Richard Bloom, associate director at creative staffing specialist Purple Consultancy.

Bloom told Recruiter: “Clients are asking us more and more for advice in social media. A social media candidate can vary so much and either have a PR or a media background. As a result they approach social media in a different way.

“Clients ask us about what types of candidates and what sorts of people they should be looking at. Lots of clients are not aware of the counter offers and it is a full-time job managing the candidates through the process. Social media is intrinsically linked to digital marketing now.”
