Finance professionals are emigrating because of the benefits found abroad

Job seekers in the finance and accounting sector are moving to cities which provide the most attractive benefits, according to a survey by GAAPweb. The study found the most popular international cities are Dubai, New York and Sydney.

Respondents listed lifestyle benefits as their main priority, with 72% thinking it was the most important factor followed by business benefits at just 28%.

Location is more important than salary with 26.8% of respondents rating it as the main attraction for seeking work outside of the UK, compared to 20% who are looking for a higher salary and 16% who want to progress in their career.
