Executive search consultants need a real “passion for people” allied with an understanding of business strategy, according to Tony Vardy, managing director of global executive search firm Korn/Ferry Whitehead Mann.

Vardy told Recruiter that consultants need to gain a real empathy and understanding of candidates, as well as an ability to judge the right person for the post.
