International job posting delivery and job board management company eQuest will launch a UK employment index which will provide recruiters with a monthly analysis of job posting trends and how effective online advertisements are performing based on candidate responses.

It follows the launch of the eQuest Employment Index in the US, which also reports on the spending patterns of the Fortune 500 companies, including job posting volumes based on activity over the previous month.

Sean Luitjens, senior vice president, product and business development, told Recruiter that it has already received interest from both recruitment agencies and direct recruiters in the UK.

He added that the company may also create an index for EMEA [Europe, Middle East and Africa]. “Data will be coming from the eQuest transaction base,” he explained. “We track the number of times every job we post to every board is viewed and applied to.

“From there we create an index that at a high level is based on the ratio of job postings (demand) and number of applicants (supply). We are able to slice by region, industry, function etc.”
