Entry coaching will help SMEs retain the best staff_2
A newly formed recruitment company is offering entry coaching to candidates it places during their first 100 days in the job.
Co-founder Malcolm Millar of Recruit to Retain told Recruiter that the company is targeting small-and-medium sized firms (SMEs) in
its campaign to promote better staff recruitment and retention processes. Recruit to Retain’s offer to clients also includes behaviour and language profiling of candidates in order to find prospective employees who will best fit into a particular company’s culture as
well as offering appropriate qualifications and skills.
Millar and his partners, Jane Lewis and Sara Rowe, will provide the entry coaching. The service is intended to help candidates they place adapt more quickly to their new jobs and environment, and ultimately stay longer in the roles.
As part of its effort to promote best practice, London-based Recruit to Retain is deferring part of its fee for 12 months. If a candidate leaves for reasons other than redundancy or “other situations beyond control”, Millar said, the client will not be liable for that portion of the fee. Millar contends that recruiters too often adopt a “silo mentality” to their work by considering their job done once a candidate is placed.
