Study finds employee inductions are becoming increasingly more sophisticated
Businesses are offering increasingly sophisticated induction programmes to new starters instead of a quick tour of the tea-making facilities, according to a study by IRS Employment Review.
The survey found that 19% of employers rely on a one-off session to orientate employees on their first day, 44% offer a short intensive programme followed up by flexible training, and 25% offer an individually tailored approach.
The study found that induction training is tailored to the job they are filling (74%), the department in which they will work (70%), or the level of seniority (62%).
