The past few weeks have brought a sort of spring ambiance into the British late summer, with a certain optimism, passion and innovative spirit evident in many quarters.
For instance, apprenticeships have also come to the forefront within the recruitment agency sector, perhaps signalling a renewed commitment to finding ways to draw new recruits into the profession. Clearly, pro-active recruitment and resourcing professionals and their innovative suppliers have been busy in the start to the second half of the year, which bodes well for the industry in spite of jagged nerves in the stock markets and in the UK’s cities.
The riot cleanup forces have already demonstrated that good can emerge from the banality of mindless evil. As we revive and renew our city and town centres in the wake of the riots, recruiters must play a major role in ensuring that the right people get the right opportunities to repair and restore the beating hearts of our communities.
