Ecademy builds networks with CareerBuilder links

Jobs posted to the career site CareerBuilder can now be accessed by registered members of the established business networking site, Ecademy.
Penny Power, who founded the network 10 years ago, told Recruiter that it chose to partner with CareerBuilder for its Career Advice and Companies Hiring section because it likes its candidate-led approach.
Traditionally, Ecademy has been used predominantly by SMEs and self-employed people, but since it decided to extend the facilities offered to those who opt for the free membership package (there are also paid-for packages), this has begun to change. "We are attracting more individuals from bigger companies who might be looking for a job, and the relationship with CareerBuilder will help us serve them," she said. She believes Ecademy and CareerBuilder will be able to help them better demonstrate their skills to a potential employer.
"Self-employed people have to have a reputation as an expert and know how to build their brand. But if you are already working at a company, it can be difficult to build your own personal brand and demonstrate your expertise so we'll be able to help them with this."
She adds: "By association with Ecademy, CareerBuilder gets more visibility, not just within the Ecademy community, but even non-Ecademy members can access it though the link on our site. This is part of our commitment to our partners to give them visibility on Google and search engines in general."
