ISV Software has introduced a new driver assessment solution which has been developed with Protemp4Logistics, the driving recruitment agency.

The solution provides recruitment companies a rapid, cost-effective solution for determining the current level of knowledge of candidates to drive a range of commercial vehicles.

The assessments are available as an online-hosted service, a module in ISV’s FastPath application or as a standalone solution.

Andrew Blakesley, managing director at Protemp4Logistics, says: “This solution is an invaluable tool that will help us to immediately identify any potential areas of weakness our drivers may have. This will ensure that our clients’ operating licences are fully protected and that our high service standards are maintained.”

Each assessment comprises up to 35 questions selected randomly from a large question bank relating to safe handling of specific classes of vehicle. Questions include subjects such as stopping distances, weight/height restrictions, road signs, securing loads, tachograph operations and regulations, basic maintenance and legal information relating to working hours and breaks. The logical and clear layout makes it easy for drivers to use.

It can also be customised to generate assessment solutions to meet individual client needs and can be co-branded by adding logos and colours to give the look and feel of a corporate website. The online assessment version is very flexible and enables recruitment agencies and transport companies to easily handle the peaks and troughs that are a normal part of business.
