Don’t mess with our brand, Nokia’s recruitment manager warns agencies

The recruitment manager for Nokia in the UK has warned recruitment agencies not to “mess with” the company’s brand.

The recruitment manager for Nokia in the UK has warned recruitment agencies not to “mess with” the company’s brand.

Speaking at the APSCo members’ conference in London last week, Greg Allen, head of recruitment EMEA, told delegates: “Our agencies are evangelists and ambassadors for our values and our product brand. Our product brand is a very expensive thing and we are not going to give it to people who go out to the market with the wrong message.

“When we find that an agency doesn’t reflect that, for example through a terrible candidate experience, it falls back on Nokia and that is one thing we won’t tolerate. We will not let anyone mess with our product brand.

“We will pay you for your market intelligence and market knowledge. Respect the brand and you will get that respect back.”
