Louise McCarthy-Teague has stepped down as HR director at multi-sector recruiter Meridian Business Support.

She leaves to take a new senior HR opportunity with training and enterprise company Avanta Group.

McCarthy-Teague joined Meridian in November 2006 to support the business restructure when Meridian moved from a regional to vertical business unit organisation.

Throughout much of the year, McCarthy-Teague, Recruiter’s 2011 Personality of the Year, has helped lead Meridian’s strategy surrounding the implementation of the Agency Workers Regulations, which has helped to raise the profile of this legislation to smaller recruiters throughout the UK.
