Maxxima has been appointed master vendor for all temporary Allied Health Professionals and Health Science Service staff in the Yorkshire and the Humber NHS region. The contract came into effect on 26 February and runs until the end of April 2009, with an option for a 12-month extension thereafter. It is estimated to be worth £6.5m per annum.

Dorma UK, a supplier of door controls and glass fittings, is to implement Northgate HR's fully integrated HR and payroll solution, ResourceLink. When ResourceLink is live in June, the company, which has over 400 employees across the UK and Ireland, will operate two payrolls each with different tax years and legislative requirements from a single database.

Executive Stand-By (ESB) has signed a new two-year £4.5m contract with a water treatment products firm. It covers recruitment of temporary and permanent staff for all Nalco operations in the UK. ESB will act as master vendor working with selected recruitment agencies as well as supplying technical and administrative staff itself. It will also manage Nalco's temporary labour pool, providing induction training, drug & alcohol testing, contract administration plus co-ordination of pool vehicles.

BT Global Services has entered into a master vendor agreement with the Manpower group of companies to supply contractors for all its country operations. Under the five-year deal. BT Global Services will consolidate its contractor agency relationships into a single supplier. Manpower and its subsidiary Elan will be responsible for the migration of BT Global Services' current contractor workforce and will supply future contractors in more than 100 countries.
