Shilton Sharpe Quarry, Right4staff & Supreme partnership
Legal placements
Shilton Sharpe Quarry has completed the placing of 35 lawyers into an international start-up in Germany. Director Gareth Quarry said that what he believed to have been "the biggest deal in a legal space" had been a testing one. Quarry said: "Lawyers are not a corporate structure — they are owners of the business. Piecing the team together is inevitably a challenge." In a similar deal, SSQ was involved in placing five partners into a US start-up in London.

Frozen into a contract
Right4staff has won a one-year contract to supply temporary staff to Headland Foods, a Grimsby-based manufacturer of frozen own-label ready meals. The recruiter will be responsible for supplying up to 50 temporary production staff across four-hour shifts day and night. As part of the deal, right4staff also provides a dedicated on-site account manager. Kurt Mroncz, right4staff's general manager, said the contract underlined the value of providing in-house HR.

Supreme partnership
Supreme Education has entered into a pilot partnership with the London Borough of Wandsworth to give the local authority the chance to source a wider range of candidates by sharing information about supply teachers with Supreme's existing local authority partners, Southwark and Lambeth. Gareth Williams, MD of Supreme, said: "This local authority collaboration will enable schools to efficiently staff their classrooms in emergencies while increasing access to the most appropriate and available teachers."
