US web recruitment specialist Dice Inc. has acquired eFinancialCareers.com. It is believed the deal has received shareholder approval and is now unconditional. Dice Inc. runs a number of niche recruitment websites in the US.
The Contact Recruitment Group and Thai company Yello have announced a joint venture online job portal
www.yellojobs.com. The venture has also formed a partnership with India TV news channel NDTV to promote and market the site.
Orion Engineering Services has acquired Cogan Resources, a specialist in personnel for the worldwide oil and gas sector. Cogan's managing director Michael Thackery will be retained as a consultant. He says: "The merger represents the natural fit of two similar companies."
Rockpools has formed an alliance with employment law firm Wragge & Co to offer a range of services including executive recruitment, ethical governance support and legal counsel to the public sector. Rockpools' partner and local authority governance expert, Claer Lloyd-Jones, and Wragge's head of local government, Mark Greenburgh, will head up a team offering local authorities a single source of support on issues including people and performance management, restructuring and ethical governance.
Empresaria Group has acquired majority stakes in three Polish businesses. They are ITC PRACA Sp. Z.o.o., ITC APT Sp. Z.o.o., and ITC CS Sp. Z.o.o. The three Krakow-based businesses, recruit Polish workers on behalf of employers in Western and Southern Europe, provide temporary staffing services in the local Polish market and training services to candidates.
