On-site service solutions provider Sodexo has signed up to a National Framework Agreement with three trade unions – Unite, UNISON and GMB.
The agreement defines the nature of the strategic relationship between Sodexo and the unions, and identifies guiding principles for managers, union representatives and other employees regarding the expectations they may have of each other.
The National Framework Agreement also acts as a public declaration from each organisation, outlining their commitment towards continued joint working and to raise awareness of the genuine, effective and positive relationship between unionised staff and Sodexo.
Aidan Connolly, chief executive for Sodexo UK and Ireland, said: “This agreement is a significant achievement that clearly demonstrates our commitment for joint working with trade unions.
“As one of the world’s largest employers — 21st largest employer worldwide and 7th largest employer in Europe — Sodexo places great importance on its relationships with its employees and on being a fair employer.”
