Provider of support services to the recruitment industry Recruitment Support Services has purchased certain assets from the administrator of Skills Market Ltd, best known for its iProfile and Skills Passport products.

Skills Market had recently seen the withdrawal of a long-term investor in the company and was therefore unable to continue trading in its current form.

Following discussions with a range of possible backers, two of the senior management team organised a significant injection from Recruitment Support Services, which now becomes the majority shareholder in the new entity iProfile Ltd.

Mark Callahan, newly appointed UK managing director of iProfile, says: “There are compelling synergies between our respective businesses. Joining the Recruitment Support Services group of companies is a significant step forward for all concerned and will enable us to provide our clients and jobseekers alike with an enhanced range of services which complement both our strengths and we are grateful for the financial support they have given us to finalise this transaction.”
