Centaur Media, owners of Recruiter, has acquired The Forum for Expatriate Management (FEM). The FEM has built the world’s leading membership community of global mobility professionals and operates associated internet services and events, including major conferences, exhibitions and awards.

Centaur chief executive officer Geoff Wilmot said:  “FEM is an excellent fit with Centaur and I am delighted to welcome Brian Friedman (FEM founder and CEO) and his team to the group. Brian, who was formerly global head of human capital at Ernst & Young, has done an outstanding job of establishing FEM as the leading international brand in this market.”

Philip Hayne, publishing director of Centaur’s specialist HR brands, said: “The FEM is a very exciting business that offers great opportunities for further, fast global growth, it already has a worldwide membership base of more than 5,500, local chapters in 20 major cities and  major business-to-business events established in Europe and the US with plans for new territories. The synergies with Recruiter and Employee Benefits are clear, especially as we launch new services to reflect the increasingly international nature of staffing, internal recruitment for international roles and reward systems.”

FEM CEO Brian Friedman said:  “The FEM has rapidly established itself as the world’s premier networking community for all global mobility professionals. We are confident that joining Centaur will provide us with the infrastructure to expand our existing activities and the expertise to move into new areas of operation. Centaur’s Employee Benefits, Recruiter and Business Travel portfolios could not be a better fit for our aggressive expansion plans”.
