Contracts/Deals: Berry buys Wild Recruitment
Berry Recruitment, specialising in commercial, IT, construction, industrial and hospitality sectors, has purchased Hampshire-based Wild Recruitment.
Berry Recruitment, specialising in commercial, IT, construction, industrial and hospitality sectors, has purchased Hampshire-based Wild Recruitment.
Based in Portsmouth, Wild has a turnover in excess of £6m, specialises within the office, contact centre, industrial, technical and senior selection sectors and is headed by Kim Way.
According to chairman, Tony Berry, Berry Recruitment is focused on developing key specialisms from its 23 locations and sees the Wild tie up as complementary: “Wild is one of the best run firms I have come across and this deal will significantly enhance our business and the service to our clients.”
Spencer Berry, business development director, told Recruiter that the business will continue under the name of Wild Recruitment.
Way, Wild’s managing director, adds: “We have grown Wild’s business significantly since its inception but we felt that future development would be best achieved as part of a larger but similarly ambitious business.”
The Berry group is set to achieve £30m turnover this year, according to a company statement, and is on course to reach its stated goal of £50m turnover by 2013.
Wild was advised during the deal by Andy Breeze and Carl Swansbury of RSM Tenon.
