Contracts: Athona secures South Central NHS agreement

Health and education staffing specialist Athona has won a service-level agreement to supply medical locums to NHS trusts and primary care trusts (PCTs) in the South Central region.

Health and education staffing specialist Athona has won a service-level agreement to supply medical locums to NHS trusts and primary care trusts (PCTs) in the South Central region.

The 12-month contract, which started this month, sees the firm provide priority access to both acute and mental health locum opportunities.

Under the Buying Solutions framework Athona is one of eight agencies supplying labour in the region.

The firm has now secured regional service level agreements in the North West, West Midlands, East Midlands and South Central regions, as well as a number of trust based agreements throughout the UK.
