In response to your article ’Employers dubious on recruiters’ value’ (recruiter.co.uk, 19 February), this kind of intelligence may be unpalatable, but is a priceless bit of constructive criticism and worth more than any number of pats on the back.

Having been around rather a long time, and from a personal point of view, I think the reputation and standards of the recruitment industry declined after the removal of the Department of Employment licence.
