IT recruiter sets up desk to deal with contractors’ daily issues

Computer People, the IT recruiter, has set up a dedicated contractor service desk to help deal with any day-to-day queries and issues.

The company says the service was developed in response to contractors demand for ease of access to information and support in the fast-moving environment.

The service is staffed by customer service personnel and has been built with the latest call-centre technology. It is expected to field around 200 calls a day.

Customer services manager Jane Harlow says: “Most of us would rather talk to a person when dealing with important matters relating to contractual or payment issues. The concept is simple, contactors will make one call into our organisation to get their query registered and resolved.”

The desk is open from 8.30am until 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.
