A US job-board which recruits senior managers in the £50,000 a year salary bracket is to launch over here in the autumn.

The site, which is used by a number of Fortune 500 companies in the US, including TimeWarner and Microsoft, turned over $30m (£14.6m) last year.

TheLadders.co.uk is different to most job-boards in that the candidate pays a subscription to use it, as opposed to clients paying through postings and advertising. Jobseekers can search for jobs by role, geography or keyword.

Sarah Drew, general manager for the site, told Recruiter: "Our clients have been telling us that they love the site but they want us to have a business in the UK. I'm very excited about it."

The website will go live in October, although a 'beta' version is already available (www.TheLadders.co.uk).
