The skill shortage in the oil and gas industry in Aberdeen in particular is simply down to internal recruitment processes. There is no urgency whatsoever and as a result candidates will find other work. It's a shame that these companies are not educated in a more professional way but my understanding is that some agencies let the 'client' control their processes instead of them advising and consulting the client.
