Executive search firm Heidrick & Struggleshas been selected by US firm CIBER to lead the search for a new chief executive.

In the meantime, as part of CIBER’s leadership succession, the international IT outsourcing and software implementation and integration consultancy has named executive vice president and chief financial officer Peter H Cheesbrough interim president and CEO, effective immediately.

Cheesbrough succeeds Mac J Slingerlend, who has retired as president, CEO and director, and has been named president emeritus.

Slingerlend has agreed to be available as a consultant to the company during the transition. The board has established a search committee and has retained Heidrick & Struggles to find Slingerlend’s permanent successor. 

CIBER was founded in 1974 and is headquartered in Greenwood Village, Colorado in the US.
