Employees could be given time off for charity work
Employees and students could be given time off to carry out charity work.
An inquiry headed by Labour peer Baroness Morgan of Huyton, Liverpool, will recommend that workers be given up to eight hours leave.
Coinciding with National Volunteering Week, the findings are understood to be looked upon favourably by ministers, according to the Daily Mail newspaper.
