Following on from an invitation to tender for recruitment staff training back in June, operational and strategy recruiter ChapmanBlack has taken on two applicants for its Training for Results project.

The winner would be taken on to train staff on a long-term basis, Ezra Chapman, the company’s chief executive, told Recruiter in 10 June issue.

Lander Associates and OTD are the two training companies who are battling it out. According to Shanthi Wilkinson, operations manager at ChapmanBlack: “The two have very different approaches… but a shared belief in their ability to create lasting impact on performance through training.”

A spokesperson from OTD says: “We are very excited to be involved in a results-driven competition as we believe in delivering true behavioural change that impacts on the bottom line. We will focus on both inspirational skills development and creating a change in motivation and belief in our team.”

A spokesperson from Lander Associates adds: “When ChapmanBlack came up with this idea, we could see a huge opportunity…The competition is a great idea and we are very excited about the challenge. Having launched the project with the management team last week, we are thrilled with their commitment to and engagement in the programme and can’t wait to get started. Bring it on!”

The Training for Results started on 1 October. Over the next five months, ChapmanBlack will be measuring average increases in KPIs and revenue output per person. It will also be paying close attention to process management, attitude and qualitative feedback.
