Candidate feedback
IT Jobs in the City, part of The IT Job Board, has launched the ‘City IT Column’ - a campaign designed to enable candidates to share their stories and views, and offer real insight into the workings of City IT departments.
With the aim of tracking down anonymous City authors, The ‘City IT Column’, asks them to demonstrate their writing skills, by sharing IT jobs and department experiences; the highs and the lows, good and bad.
Since the campaign launch in September 2008, the IT Jobs in the City team has now shortlisted the original competition entries to six. Over the course of the next eight weeks, the selected stories will be showcased on a dedicated micro-site at:
http://assets.itjobsinthecity.com/microsite/cityboy/cityboy.html. Here readers can have their say and vote on whether they were impressed by the stories or not.
Alex Farrell, managing director of The IT Job Board, commented: “The job boards market is essentially a faceless one, we therefore believe that it is important to engage with our candidates on a regular basis. The ‘City IT Column’ is a good example of this; here they can share their IT department stories and be given the opportunity to vote on the one they think is best.”
The winner will be announced on 23 December, and will take home £250 in online vouchers.
