Procurement firm buyingTeam is to create a new European support service hub in Wales, creating over 50 jobs.

buyingTeam, which already operates from London and Brussels, will initially locate in Technium Springboard in Cwmbran and has started to identify key recruits in anticipation of becoming operational by September.

The office will open with a team of 10 with a further 44 more to be hired over three years.

Ian Thompson, managing director, buyingTeam Support Service, says: “Following a thorough review of potential locations, key to our final decision were both the support and help from International Business Wales, and the ability we will have to secure high-grade candidates with the right skills and experience to operate our European support services hub from Wales. We are looking forward to the launch of the operation and to a new chapter in delivering international procurement excellence to our clients.”
