Businesses have been reminded that the deadline for the Edge Awards 2007, to win part of a £300,000 training-investment prize fund, is on 29 June. 

The Edge Awards discovers, celebrates and rewards employers who are committed to providing practical learning opportunities for both their employees and the wider community, especially young people.

It also rewards young individuals, nominated by their employers, who have demonstrated outstanding success in learning this year.
The awards are open to all employers in the UK, whether large or small, public, private or voluntary.

To enter, organisations must demonstrate how they offer learning-by-doing opportunities in the form of apprenticeships, day release schemes, work placements or new initiatives.

Three organisations and practical learners will be rewarded regionally and will then be entered for the National Awards, held on 22 November at the Camden Roundhouse.
