Belfast enjoyed a bumper month for jobs creation in September, according to the latest UK Employment Outlook from SimplyHired.co.uk.

Belfast enjoyed a bumper month for jobs creation in September, according to the latest UK Employment Outlook from SimplyHired.co.uk.

The report reveals Belfast experienced September’s largest job gains with a 39.4% month-over-month increase in vacancies.

Meanwhile, more than 10,000 new jobs are being created in London by the opening of the Westfield Stratford City shopping centre, contributing to a 12.2% month-over-month increase in job vacancies in the capital.

SimplyHired.co.uk chief executive, Gautam Godhwani, says: “The UK is ending the summer on an employment high note, with increases in job vacancies in every region of the country.

“With more than 865,000 open roles, this news should provide jobseekers a renewed optimism about their career prospects.”
