Recruitment software pro - vider Bullhorn is hoping the UK will account for 10% of its global turnover after 12 months, according to its founder.

In an exclusive interview with Recruiter, Barry Hinckley said that having physical office space was not as important as meeting potential new customers and that he was seeking to attract 1,000 new users a year to the software.

“You have such a competitive recruitment market over here,” said Hinckley, speaking from his Sloane Square flat. “The UK is the most mature market for recruitment in the world and I’m excited about next year.

“We want the UK to account for 10% of our overall turnover after the first 12-18 months.” He added: “The UK doesn’t need another Windows-based recruiting solution and the UK is full of recruitment professionals looking for an edge over their competitors.”

Bullhorn is a web-based tool with the capability to adapt new technology onto its website. The latest example of this is the Bullhorn iPhone application, to be rolled out in August. It is known as software-as-aservice (SaaS). (See also software feature, pp25-6.)

As part of a drive to make the UK a key player in Bullhorn’s global market, Bullhorn has also recruited Peter Linas, a former director of sales and alliances at iProfile, to be UK sales director.
