Greek employers will be allowed to hire Bulgarian workers only through the Employment Agency, under an agreement the two countries have signed, reports the
Sofia Weekly. The document, signed by Labour and Social Policy Minister Emilia Maslarova and her Greek counterpart Savas Tsitouridis, makes it obligatory that Bulgarian workers know the conditions of work, payment, leave and social security they could expect. This does not rule out recruitment by private companies, but only those that are licensed by the agency.
